A Life of Distinction

SERMON

SPEAKER BRO. GABRIEL VOTU

TEXT: MAL. 3:18, EX. 9:4

INTRODUCTION

The year 2018 has been a very challenging year for every Nigerian. The security of life and property has been a huge challenge. People have killed needlessly. Religious intolerance is high. Poverty is increasing.
Confidence in Government, Institution and Individuals is waning.
Even confidence in religious leader is waning. But a lot of organization and individuals have testimonies of the faithfulness of God.
Despite the challenges, many individuals and organizations are still giving the same response. One form of insanity is to do the same thing again and again and expect a different outcome. If you want a better and different 2019, you most plan to do things differently.

WHAT IS GOD SAYING CONCERNING 2019?

Significance of Number and 2019

The year 2019 is the nineteenth year of the millennium. Numbers have spiritual significance in the programme of God.
When the children of Israel were in the process of possessing the Land of Cannan, the wall of Jericho served as obstacle. The children of Israel went around the wall several times and the wall came down flat.

Anchor for 2019: Covenant and Distinction

  • It was the covenant the great difference between the Israelite and the Egyptians.

FOUR KEY MESSAGES:

1. 2019 will be a double edged year:

a. Blessing and great reward for people working faithfully and righteously in the covenant with God, Ps. 37:37, mark the blameless man, observe the upright; Ps. 89:3-4. I have made a covenant with my chosen; Ps. 89:34... My covenant, I will not break; fruit from the covenant, Ps. 89:19-29.

b. Judgement and the wrath of God upon the wicked and the evil men: Prov. 11:21.... the wicked will not go unpunished; Ps. 50:21-22... I will rebuke you: Haggai 2:6-7... I will shake Heaven and Earth.

2. God will promote you into a place of distinction

3. God will separate you from the rest.

4. God will not all you to be touched by the wicked or to partake in evil.
