What Will You Be Remembered For?

Text: Acts9:36-39

DEFINITION OF KEY WORDS 

Remember: To remember can be defined as to keep in one’s mind, and recall at will; act on a remembered instructions or needs. Remember can also be defined as to recall from one’s memory.

 INTRODUCTION 

 Have you ever thought about yourself, what you will be remembered for-whether positively or negatively? Meanwhile, when you are living this earth as a Christian, what will they say about you? On the other hand, you might be wondering if you will be remembered at all. We have heard and also seen it and some of us have been living it. As a Christian you were created for a mission, you are formed for God’s family and you were created to be like Christ. The Church presents you with an excellent opportunity to serve.

In Matt. 5:13, Jesus said “you are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its taste, it strength, it quality, how can it satisfied be restored”

  • You are special, different from all others. 
  • You are for a purpose. 
  • You have the capability to right the wrong.
  • You are here to add values to all those in you circle of influence 
  • You are a change agent; you are here to change your generation for God.
  • Your contribution may be small, but it is significance. 
  • Stop being selfish, don’t die with your talent. 
  • Wake up and light up the fire and shine brighten your environment. Greatness never comes from serving self, but from serving others. 
Jesus told His disciples that 'the greatest among you must be the servant of all. "
 Noah saved a remnant from the flood. Moses delivered the Israelite from bondage and slavery. Joshua led the people into the promise land and helps them to acquire it. They served their generation.
 REMEMBER THAT GOD WILL BRING EVERY WORK INTO JUDGEMENT Eccl. 12:14- God will bring every works of man into judgement.
Matt. 12:26- Every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgement.

 What Will You Be Remembered For? 


  1.  Will you be remembered as a channel of blessing for others? 
  2. Will you be remembering as a pillar in the Church? 
  3. Will you be remembered as a builder or a destroyer in the Church? 
Gal. 4:16- Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth. C

CONCLUSION 

Our prayer is God should not allow any of the Christian to be remembered NEGATIVELY in Jesus Mighty Name ...
 Amen!!!

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR BURDEN?

TEXT: GAL. 6:2-5 BY: BRO. MIKE AZEBI INTRODUCTION In the Old Testament the English word “burden” is translated from the Hebrew word “Massa”, which is used of a donkey’s burden (Exo. 23:5.) In a Number 4:15, it is used of the items the sons of KOHATH carried as they moved the terbanacle to place in the wilderness. Another kind of burden is described in Number 11: 11, 17, where Moses bearing the burden of the people and the Lord tells him to gather the seventy elders so that they will help you carry the burden of the people. In that instance, the burden is not physical but psychological and spiritual. In the New Testament, the Greek word “Phortion” is used for burden, it denotes the troubles of this life in Mat. 23:4, Jesus describes the heavy burden of the people but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
