CHRISTIANS SHOULD ABSTAIN FROM EVERY FORM OF EVIL

TEXT: 1THESS. 5:22 BY: BRO. WILLIAM OVEDHE DEFINITION CHRISTIANS : Are redeemed people who do not belong to themselves but Christ Jesus. ABSTAIN : to not do something, especially, something enjoyable, because you think it is bad for your health or morally wrong. EVIL :  Something that is very bad and harmful. INTRODUCTION:   Christian should remember of the price they are bought by Christ through the blood He shed on the cross of Calvary to redeem them into his kingdom. (Rom. 6:22) Every Christian should remember the usefulness of his former life in sin, in order to appreciate his present life in the grace of God. (2 Pet. 2:20-22). We should try to maintain the grace by not turning to the life of sin from which we have escaped, and not to blasphemed the name of Jesus by our conduct. To disregard  lust of the flesh. WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR BURDEN?

TEXT: GAL. 6:2-5 BY: BRO. MIKE AZEBI INTRODUCTION In the Old Testament the English word “burden” is translated from the Hebrew word “Massa”, which is used of a donkey’s burden (Exo. 23:5.) In a Number 4:15, it is used of the items the sons of KOHATH carried as they moved the terbanacle to place in the wilderness. Another kind of burden is described in Number 11: 11, 17, where Moses bearing the burden of the people and the Lord tells him to gather the seventy elders so that they will help you carry the burden of the people. In that instance, the burden is not physical but psychological and spiritual. In the New Testament, the Greek word “Phortion” is used for burden, it denotes the troubles of this life in Mat. 23:4, Jesus describes the heavy burden of the people but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. WEAPONS IN SATAN ARMORY

This is the concluding part of the sermon on Christian Warfare. The Christians must be aware that Satan is alive and working in a deceived world of secular enticement and religious confusion. This is the first step in preparing ourselves to put on God’s armor so that we will not be led astray. Deception : This is the power of the devil to deceive and rules the world through: Eph 4:14 Sin Rom. 7:11, 2Cor 11:3. Through fake miracle done by his allies– Pastors, General Overseer, Prophets, Founders of churches. Matt. 24:11, 24.
