WEAPONS IN SATAN ARMORY

This is the concluding part of the sermon on Christian Warfare.

The Christians must be aware that Satan is alive and working in a deceived world of secular enticement and religious confusion.

This is the first step in preparing ourselves to put on God’s armor so that we will not be led astray.

  1. Deception: This is the power of the devil to deceive and rules the world through: Eph 4:14 Sin Rom. 7:11, 2Cor 11:3. Through fake miracle done by his allies– Pastors, General Overseer, Prophets, Founders of churches. Matt. 24:11, 24. Through deception, Satan has instigated those institutions and governments that control society to lead people against the truth of God Acts 20:30, 1Timothy 4:1.
  2. Temptation: This is a missile that goes directly to pierce the mind and change it to do evil. Components of this missile that made it too dangerous are (i) lust of the eye (ii) Lust of the flesh and (iii) the pride of life 1 John 2:16, Mathew 4:1-11, Mathew 26:41.
  3. Fear/Shame: When Satan hits you with this weapon, you become timid and coward to do the work of God and thereby stop the name of God to be magnified. If you are not confident on battle field you cannot be victorious. “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. 2Timothy 1:7, Phil 4:13.
  4. Lying Tongue: This is another powerful weapon used by the devil and his allies at deceiving the mind and the world. Thearmory of Ahab and the false prophets is a glaring example 2Kings 22:19-23, 2Thess 2:9-12. It is one of the seven abominations of Proverbs Chapter 6:16-17.
  5. Disobedience: This weapon can be liken to chemical weapon that kills massively. It killed thousand of people in the days of Noah

1 Peter 20. Today also when Christ will come for judgment, many people who disobey the gospel of Christ will be condemned in flaming fire 1Thess. 1:7-8.

CONCLUSION

With all these weapons in the Christians armory “Onward Christian Soldiers marching as to war, for victory is sure”

TEXT: 1THESS. 5:22 BY: BRO. WILLIAM OVEDHE DEFINITION CHRISTIANS : Are redeemed people who do not belong to themselves but Christ Jesus. ABSTAIN : to not do something, especially, something enjoyable, because you think it is bad for your health or morally wrong. EVIL :  Something that is very bad and harmful. INTRODUCTION:   Christian should remember of the price they are bought by Christ through the blood He shed on the cross of Calvary to redeem them into his kingdom. (Rom. 6:22) Every Christian should remember the usefulness of his former life in sin, in order to appreciate his present life in the grace of God. (2 Pet. 2:20-22). We should try to maintain the grace by not turning to the life of sin from which we have escaped, and not to blasphemed the name of Jesus by our conduct. To disregard  lust of the flesh. And embrace love and grace that was poured out on the cross through the sacrificial offering of the incarnate son of God. (Rom.8:18). Wh...

Remember can also be defined as to recall from one’s memory.  INTRODUCTION   Have you ever thought about yourself, what you will be remembered for-whether positively or negatively? Meanwhile, when you are living this earth as a Christian, what will they say about you? On the other hand, you might be wondering if you will be remembered at all. We have heard and also seen it and some of us have been living it. As a Christian you were created for a mission, you are formed for God’s family and you were created to be like Christ.
